Hi! That’s me! I’m Kristen. I was homegrown in the mountains of Colorado.
I started mountain biking in 2013 after a back injury. I had a medical restriction that prevented me from skiing, so I decided to take up mountain biking (insert my doctor’s eye roll here). Yes, I see and acknowledge how crazy that must sound, but once a mountain kid, always a mountain kid.
I have decided to pretend to give some meaning to my new adventures by starting a new blog. Here are some things you should know about me:
1. I am very sarcastic. If you don’t understand sarcasm you should probably stop reading here.
2. I am not a great writer, but in hopes of not shaming my high school English teacher, Mr. Morris, I will do my best to at least write grammatically correct.
3. I do not claim to be an expert in anything. The stories (and potential advice) are my own thoughts and opinions.
39°N is the Latitude of my hometown, Vail, Colorado. Inspired by the documentary 180° South: Conquerors of the Useless, 39°N is the idea that while I may always be in search of the next adventure, 39°N will always be home.
If I haven’t scared you away yet, I hope you get some laughs!
